Oh gosh– The one person I seriously feel we can attribute our ability in being at this point and place in life to, is our landlord. What a guy! He is unspeakably awesome. Investing his faith in a couple of young entrepreneurs with a child, looking to make our dream a reality. With the worst of credit, and an eviction to worsen our track record. He is amazing, a blessing. Even though I continue to fear him, and all the power he holds, he continues to show himself as this great being of patience and chance. He’s like a mentor, with no advice, no hands in our affairs, just lending opportunity so gracefully.
I look forward to our Grand Opening. As I look forward to the personal satisfaction. Though admittedly, I look forward to his reaction. Seeing the chance he gave come to be worthwhile. Not only for our personal success, but for the betterment of this grand historical property. Years back, when he started his own business after college this location housed his first office. I think he saw the circle in life, with our coming to him for this chance. He’s a man of few words, but he loves the preservation of historical property in Tucson. It’s admirable, how passionate he is about this. As so many who invest their business assets into realty, look toward taking down what exists and creating anew. He sees what is, and what will always be– with just a little elbow grease and love.
Though I’ll never hear how proud my parents are of me, and it irks my heart. This man somehow holds a great silent and solemn guiding light over me, just as my 4th/5th grade teacher Randy. I appreciate these people, for they’ve shown me the way of will. They have been the remedy to my emptiness.
