Tick Away…

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

I find it funny, the ongoing insanity of individuals.
I let out a slight snicker, along with a sigh, a shaking of my head…

DON’T SAY THAT YOU ARE LIKE ME, YOU DIDN’T HAVE AN EMPATHY FOR THE POOR DOG.

HE TOLD YOU HE WAS SICK.

YOU SAID HE WASN’T EATING OR DRINKING WATER.

DON’T EVER SAY YOU ARE LIKE ME.

HE LIVED FOR 2 & 3/4 YEARS WITH ME, AND WOULD PROBABLY STILL BE ALIVE
IF YOU WOULD HAVE CALLED.

YOU HAVE LIED, LIED, LIED.

YOU SAY YOU ARE DOING WELL FINANCIALLY.

HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW ABOUT ME. I HAD I.R.S. TRAINING ON SIGNS PEOPLE
GIVE WHEN THEY ARE FINANCIALLY STRESSSED.

EVICTION.

PHONE DISCONNECTED.

I CAN HELP WITH SHADOW, BUT YOU WANT TO LIE, AND WON’T CALL.

YOU DON’T GIVE A DAMNED ABOUT ME, WHICH DOESN’T MATTER TO ME.

WHY DON’T YOU GIVE A DAMN FOR THAT POOR DOG.

Where is the humor?
-Not in the suffering of their soul, but in the implosion of their inner child.

When a person won’t accept what is, they can throw a tantrum. My reaction is silence, as to decipher the true intent of their scattered signals.

Often times, I have intentionally prolonged silence with certain individuals. When I send the words of my will, my wisdom, my mind, heart and soul… I look for the listeners. Encountering the bickering and bitter, I know a person’s bubble to get bigger before it bursts. So I allow for distance, as I am not to witness self-implosion– or experience the casting out, of a misplaced mind.

The only person that can help you, is yourself.
No reason to argue with that.
No need do I have, to feel the wrath of a soul-stuck-stagnant. I do not stick around to feel the stabs.
No matter the love I feel at heart, when self-expression no longer feeds their solace, but their fury… I let them have their time–
Though their mind may
tick-tick-tick;
they may taunt me from afar,
I live a life unattached to those hands that spiral on-and-on, in a dizzy daze.

My Mother showed me, that the nature of our being lies in the willingness to succeed as the self.

Lack drive,
Collide;
Tumble off into the twine.

A steep upward climb…

Take hefty steps to thrive,
Despite the “one step forward, two steps back”–
Onward will always lead you forward,
Out of the free-falling decline.

We lead our lives,
Contact and clique;
Or Leach our lives,
drown and disconnect.

I flow full force,
Around the rocks,
Though my washing over…
Will surely never wash away.

Perch me upon your shoulders,
Show me the sights, up high.

Throw me up in the air,
Let me fall down from the sky.

Guide my feet, upon yours
To a graceful dance for two.

Hand me off, unto my own
Let me see the world anew.

Know this daughter darling
And Her passions true.

It is the world I design:
My back may bend–
Under weight I will intertwine;
Build a base of vine.
As a wind-blown Willow,
You’ll hear me whisper when you chime.

“If”

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

If you can live each day with the assurance that YOU are something wonderful to be.
If you can find a way to meet your problems
With courage and with true maturity…

If you can be attractive and in fashion,
Yet never swayed by any vulgar style.
If you can choose the finer things life offers,
Rejecting what is worthless with a smile…

If you can guard the principles you live by-
Hold fast to truth and honor all life through.
And stand for right in every situation,
No matter what the world may say or do…

If you can try to offer hope or comfort,
To those who seem to need a helping hand.

If you can do some little act of kindness,
Or say a word that shows you understand…

If you can meet a trying situation,
Without complaint and with your spirit high.
If you can face occasional disappointment,
Not yielding to a grumble or a sigh.

If you can learn to make a firm decision and say, “I will”-
Never “I may” or “might”
If you can follow in your true vocation
Unswerving, for you know your course is right…

If you can take delight in little children.
And be a friend to older folks you know.

If you can give your warmth and understanding,
To fill the lives of those who love you so…

If you can practice all the arts of living,
With gracious kindness and with real integrity…
You’re bound to be a happy person, always
And the lovely human you were meant to be.

Changed it around, just a bit. For it was once, “If - For Girls”. I found it more universal.

From a small book my Mother was given on her 15th, by her parents. Something I’m glad to tote away with.
