Objects may bring joy…

  • Bark BodiceColissa and I were walking within our apartment complex the other evening, and passed by a large piece of palm tree bark on the ground. We both stopped and looked at eachother, “Doesn’t that look like a…”. A perfect bodice, made by nature, 100% bark!
    • I plan to cut out the chunk of bark on the left, to fully expose the midriff and give the center a diamond outline. I’m not sure how exactly I’m going to piece it all together, but Ised.com/im plan to dress for Halloween with this bark bodice! I was planning on dressing as a Warcraft Night Elf, which this could work for, but technically NE’s dress in leather. So I figure I’ll be my own elfling character, and have Christopher’s Mom paint me. She’s done so before, for a woman locally who was going as Ivy for Halloween.
  • Yoshi TileOver nine months ago, I saw this tile that Christopher had made when he was a boy. Before we moved into our current residence, I said that I’d hang that tile on the wall of our bathroom. I finally did so a few weeks back, after rummaging through some boxes to find it. It’s just absolutely awesome to me, in all it’s Yoshi-ness! So it made me more than giddy to hang it up finally. I still walk into the bathroom from time-to-time, just to stand back and admire it. I’m so simply pleased. :)
  • I have been updating and adding to the personal information to the right. I’m working on the structure of that column off and on, so it will probably continually change.
  • Journal/BookAfter many years of not writing in my own journal, I’ve just recently purchased one to start anew. I’m not writing as often as I once did, every night, but writing what I need to work through it all. I plan to post some of my journal entries in the recent future. I would now, except many of my entries are incomplete.
    • Colissa and I have both been on a self-improvement binge as of late. When Tommy recommended I read Pivot, Colissa was kind enough to buy it for me along with her, The One Decision. It’s well written, and speaks of a theory I’ve come to own, but have yet to fully live up to.
