Pinkie Remembered

Sunday, February 19th, 2006

In my teenage years, I often lose sight of the things I once had. I forget how people once were, and how things use to be.

I often say that I missed out on having a good stuffed animal companion. Out of all of the stuffed animals I was given, I didn’t have a single one that I felt really attached to.

In the moments of today, we forget the little things about yesterday, and those are things I cherish the most.

I had a stuffed companion named “Pinkie”! He was a pink pig with yellow ears. I loved the material he was made out of.

Apparently, I had quite the time with this little guy. I threw him in my Father’s hot soup, lost him and found him several times. And his legacy was even so great, that there was a Pinkie II!

I know I’ve never had that kind of closeness with a stuffed animal since. :)

An Apple to the Head

Saturday, February 18th, 2006

I’m going to be out of town for almost two weeks, and I insist on taking a laptop. I’m stuck with an old Apple iBook with 64 MB of RAM and a PowerPC G3 processor. 8-O
Despite that fact, Christopher has convinced me to install Mac OS X 10.4 on it. I’ve yet to attempt it, but I do hope it just works! It’s currently running Mac OS X 10.0, so with all luck this little machine will chug through.
The main thing I want to be able to run on this laptop, is Photoshop, no matter the version. But it’s always so very hard to find software for out-of-date operating systems.

But what really broke my back about using OS X 10, was that I am without Firefox! I can’t stand to look at my website in I.E. for two weeks, it’s a disaster! I’m in denial, I admit! I could probably fix this blog to be compatible with I.E., but I refuse to in all my stubbornness.

I’ll kick an Apple’s ass before I use I.E. for so long.

Super Stretchy Serpent

A new chapter in history has opened, and a hero is born: Adventures with Christopher Dee!

With his amazingly stretchy skin…
And graceful modern dance of the serpent clan “hisss“…
He’s an impressive man of many talents,
and doing it all with his shirt off ;)
